Barista

We are looking for a friendly, skilled, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and other beverages, providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring a welcoming experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, cold beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, counters, and dining area.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of coffee beans, milk, ingredients, and other supplies.
• Monitor inventory and inform the supervisor when stock levels are low.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle customer queries and resolve basic complaints professionally.
• Support the team with opening and closing duties as required.
• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a café/restaurant environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and basic espresso-making techniques.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically active duties.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of different coffee types and brewing methods.
• Experience with espresso machines and coffee grinders.
• Basic latte art skills are an advantage.
• POS/cash-handling experience.
• Good attention to detail and presentation.
