About the Role

Teaology NEO is looking for an experienced and passionate Barista who can deliver consistently excellent coffee, beverages, and customer service while maintaining high standards of hygiene, presentation, and café operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in specialty coffee, be confident with espresso-based beverages and latte art, and be capable of independently managing day-to-day bar operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based beverages, specialty coffee, teas, and other café beverages to consistent quality standards.
• Demonstrate strong skills in espresso brewing, milk steaming, extraction and latte art.
• Perform manual brewing using appropriate brewing methods and equipment.
• Operate POS / billing systems accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain proper inventory levels, monitor stock usage and report shortages.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls and beverage presentation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organization of the bar and equipment.
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures for the coffee station.
• Handle customer orders professionally and provide a welcoming café experience.
• Assist in training new team members and maintaining beverage quality standards.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams during busy periods.
• Support team management, multitasking and smooth café operations.
• Minimize wastage and ensure proper handling and storage of coffee, milk, syrups and other ingredients.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant barista experience in a café, specialty coffee shop, restaurant or similar establishment.
• Strong practical knowledge of coffee preparation and café operations.
• Good understanding of espresso extraction and milk texturing.
• Ability to consistently maintain beverage quality and presentation.
• Positive attitude, discipline and professional appearance.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for assigned duties.
