Barista/All Rounder

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding café experience through warm, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
• Prepare and plate simple café food items such as sandwiches, toasts, salads, pastries, desserts, and other menu offerings according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Contribute to menu development by experimenting with new coffee beverages and food offerings.
• Maintain an efficient and organized coffee bar and food preparation area, including opening and closing procedures and an ergonomic workflow.
• Ensure smooth coordination between Front of House and Back of House operations to provide seamless service.
• Educate guests about our coffee offerings, including bean origins, flavour profiles, and brewing or roasting methods, while confidently recommending food pairings.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, scales, POS systems, and other café equipment with confidence.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times, ensuring the café, kitchen, and service areas remain clean and well-organized.
• Keep all coffee equipment, food preparation equipment, and workstations exceptionally clean and well-maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels for coffee, food ingredients, milk, and café supplies, and communicate replenishment requirements promptly.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when required.
• Create engaging content that showcases our coffee, food, team, and café culture (optional but encouraged).
• Foster a positive, energetic atmosphere while building genuine relationships with customers.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for coffee, food, and hospitality.
• Previous barista or café experience is preferred (training can be provided for right individuals)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
