Mobile Cafe Barista

We are launching a new, modern coffee truck and are looking for a passionate and experienced Barista / Coffee Specialist who has strong knowledge of coffee and can help us build an exciting, high-quality coffee menu.

This is not just a coffee-making role. We are looking for someone who can bring their coffee expertise to the business, help us decide the menu, develop recipes, maintain consistency, and create an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality hot and cold coffee beverages consistently.
• Have strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, espresso extraction, milk steaming, grinders, and coffee equipment.
• Develop and prepare trendy and modern coffee recipes, including specialty and café-style beverages.
• Help us design and finalize the coffee truck's menu, including beverage selection, recipes, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Suggest new and trending coffee beverages based on customer preferences and market trends.
• Create and standardize recipes so that every drink maintains the same taste and quality.
• Maintain proper coffee-making techniques, hygiene, cleanliness, and workstation organization.
• Handle high-volume customer orders efficiently, especially during peak hours.
• Interact confidently and politely with customers and understand their preferences.
• Explain different coffee beverages and make recommendations to customers when required.
• Help with inventory management and ensure proper handling and storage of coffee, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
• Monitor wastage and maintain cost-efficient usage of ingredients.
• Assist in setting up standard operating procedures for the coffee truck.
• Train other staff members in coffee preparation and service standards as the business grows.

What We Are Looking For

Must Have:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Barista / Senior Barista / Coffee Specialist.
• Strong and practical knowledge of coffee and espresso-based beverages.
• Ability to prepare both classic and modern/trendy café beverages.
• Good understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, brewing methods, and coffee equipment.
• Experience working in a busy café, coffee shop, QSR, hotel, or high-volume beverage environment.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to handle large numbers of customers and multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality.
• Creative mindset and willingness to experiment with new recipes.
• Ability to independently suggest and develop a profitable and attractive coffee menu.
• Good hygiene and food-handling practices.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
