About Mogra

Mogra is a slow-living café built around good coffee, simple food, books, conversations and a warm, homely atmosphere. We’re looking for a Barista who enjoys coffee, people and creating a welcoming café experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee, espresso-based beverages, tea, cold beverages and other menu drinks as per Mogra’s recipes and standards.
• Operate and maintain the espresso machine, grinder and other beverage equipment.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portioning.
• Understand basic coffee fundamentals including beans, grind size, extraction and milk steaming.
• Take customer orders and confidently explain menu items and beverages.
• Provide friendly, warm and attentive customer service.
• Handle POS/billing and basic cash/digital payments when required.
• Assist with basic food plating and serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee bar, equipment and work area.
• Follow daily opening, closing and cleaning checklists.
• Monitor stock of coffee, milk, syrups, cups and other bar supplies and inform the manager when replenishment is required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and café SOPs.
• Work calmly and efficiently during busy hours while maintaining quality.
• Support the team with general café operations whenever required.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barista/café experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of espresso machines and coffee preparation.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Friendly, responsible and punctual.
• Willingness to learn and follow Mogra’s recipes and SOPs.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.
• Genuine interest in coffee and hospitality.

Added Advantage

• Barista training/certification.
• Experience with specialty coffee.
• Basic latte art skills.
• Experience with POS/billing and inventory.
• Knowledge of manual brewing methods.
