Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coffee, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, and excellent customer service skills. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a great customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, and other beverages according to company standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage equipment.
• Prepare espresso shots, steam and froth milk, and create latte art where required.
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide recommendations on beverages and menu items.
• Ensure consistent beverage quality, presentation, and taste.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, and work area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace hygiene standards.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
• Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and wastage control.
• Handle POS billing and cash transactions accurately, where required.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth café operations.
• Support opening and closing duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and milk-steaming equipment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Preferred Skills

• Latte art and milk-texturing skills.
• Knowledge of specialty coffee and different brewing methods.
• Experience with POS systems and inventory management.
• Ability to recommend beverages and enhance the customer experience.
