About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and customer-friendly Barista to manage its daily evening operations.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing quality coffee and beverages, serving customers, managing orders and payments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of the outlet during the assigned shift.

This is an independent operational role that requires the candidate to take ownership of the store and maintain consistent service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coffee & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare espresso-based beverages such as Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, and other menu offerings.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage equipment.
• Maintain consistency in coffee taste, extraction, milk texture, and presentation.
• Prepare iced coffees, cold beverages, and other menu items.
• Follow standard recipes and portion sizes.
• Maintain coffee equipment and ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.

2. Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome customers and provide a friendly experience.
• Understand the menu and confidently explain different coffee options.
• Take orders and ensure accurate and timely service.
• Recommend beverages and encourage customers to explore the menu.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve minor complaints professionally.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming customer area.

3. Store Operations

• Take complete responsibility for the evening shift.
• Prepare the store for operations at the beginning of the shift.
• Ensure all ingredients, equipment, and supplies are ready.
• Manage customer orders and daily workflow independently.
• Ensure the store is properly closed at the end of the shift.
• Follow operational guidelines and instructions from management.

4. Billing & Cash Management

• Handle POS billing and order management.
• Accept and manage cash, UPI, and card payments.
• Maintain accurate daily sales records.
• Reconcile sales and payment collections at closing.
• Report any billing or cash discrepancies immediately.

5. Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, packaging, and other consumables.
• Maintain proper stock levels.
• Inform management about replenishment requirements.
• Monitor expiry dates and proper ingredient storage.
• Minimise unnecessary consumption and wastage.

6. Cleanliness & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee counter and preparation area.
• Clean espresso machines, grinders, steam wands, and equipment regularly.
• Maintain hygiene standards during beverage preparation.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Complete the daily cleaning and closing checklist.

7. Daily Reporting

• Share daily sales and collection reports.
• Report inventory requirements and wastage.
• Communicate customer feedback and complaints.
• Report equipment issues or maintenance requirements.
• Provide a daily closing update to management.

Skills & Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista is preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee-making techniques.
• Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and milk steaming.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Basic POS billing and cash-handling knowledge.
• Ability to manage store operations independently.
• Responsible, punctual, honest, and well-organised.
• Willingness to learn new recipes and improve coffee-making skills.

Working Hours & Compensation

Shift: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Weekly working schedule and weekly off as agreed.
